The Washington County Community Foundation's Day of Giving campaign is September 19, 2024, 8 AM-8 PM. The Board of Directors encourages you to participate again this year. Your generosity helps to keep this historic building open for use by several non-profits. We have included a link that you can share with others who may wish to support the Venetia Heritage Society. https://www.wccfgives.org/details
venetia_hs_letterdonors2024.pdfBecause of the generosity of people and local organizations who are committed to preserving this historic structure, the Venetia Heritage Society is able to maintain the former Venetia School. The needs of the Venetia Community Center are great: monthly utility bills , as well as repair and maintenance costs impact our budget and utilize the majority of our income. The Society is very dependent upon contributions to help build a functional Capital Projects fund in order to fulfill our repair goals of replacing and repainting the windows, repainting the interior, and addressing minor interior issues. We also plan to identify ways that rooms can be repurposed and utilized to better serve the community, improve the financial stability of the VHS, and raise the visibility of the organization within Peters Township.
Donors and contributors are those who give generously beyond membership dues. The VHS Capital Campaign is targeting the replacement of windows, repairing plumbing and electrical issues, and repainting the interior of the building. Money helps to cover material and labor costs. Local businesses are welcome to donate labor and materials to this vital project.
